LITTLE ROCK, Ark. - The Little Rock Men's Basketball team opens Ohio Valley Conference action on Thursday as the Trojans travel to Cookeville, Tenn. to face Tennessee Tech. Tip-off is set for 7:30 p.m. or approximately 30 minutes after the conclusion of the women's game. Fans can watch the live broadcast on ESPN+ and can also listen to the live broadcast on 106.7 FM The Buz2 with Ray Tucker.
The Trojans enter the contest 6-7 after losing to Jacksonville State on December 21 at The Jack Stephens Center. In that game,
KK Robinson led the team in points with 14, while
Jaylen Crocker-Johnson led the team in rebounds with ten.
Bradley Douglas contributed 12 points, including two three-pointers, in the loss.
Overall for Little Rock, Robinson is the leading scorer averaging 17.1 points per game, while
Jamir Chaplin leads the team in rebounds averaging 7.3 per game.
Tennessee Tech enters the match-up 5-8 after losing 82-51 at Evansville on December 20. Overall for the Golden Eagles, Jayvis Harvey leads the team in scoring averaging 15.8 points per game.
This will be the third meeting between the two teams with the series tied at 1-1. Tennessee Tech won the first ever meeting on January 19, 2023 in Little Rock 77-75. The Trojans won the next meeting 91-89 in Cookeville, Tenn. on January 28, 2023. In that game
DeAntoni Gordon led the team in points with 25 and in rebounds with nine.
