Little Rock Men's Basketball Continues Conference Action at Tennessee State on Saturday

NASHVILLE, Tenn. - The Little Rock Men's Basketball continues Ohio Valley Conference action on the road as the Trojans face Tennessee State on Saturday.  Tip-off is scheduled for 3:30 p.m. or approximately 30 minutes after the conclusion of the women's game.  Fans can watch the live broadcast on ESPN+ and can also listen to the live broadcast on 106.7 FM The Buz2 with Ray Tucker.

The Trojans enter the contest 7-7 overall and 1-0 in OVC action after defeating Tennessee Tech on Thursday 81-75 for the team's first road win of the season.  In that game, Jamir Chaplin led all scorers in points with 25 going 8-of-14 from the floor and 8-of-10 from the free throw line.  He also contributed seven rebounds, two assists, and a team-high three steals.

KK Robinson knocked down 17 points while recording a career-high five made three-pointers, while Jaylen Crocker-Johnson recorded 13 points and a team-high nine rebounds.  DeAntoni Gordon also recorded a team-high of nine rebounds and added ten points.

Overall for Little Rock, Robinson leads the team in scoring averaging 17.8 points per game, while Chaplin leads the team in rebounds averaging 7.3 per game.

Tennessee State enters the match-up 7-7 overall and 0-1 in conference play after losing 91-75 to UT Martin at home Thursday.  Overall for the Tigers, Christian Brown leads the team in points averaging 14.2 per game, while EJ Bellinger leads the team in rebounds averaging 5.9 per game.

The Trojans lead the all-time series record against Tennessee State 3-2.  Little Rock won the last match-up on January 21, 2023 at home.  In that game, Gordon recorded 14 points and five rebounds, while Jordan Jefferson knocked down ten points.  The Tigers won the last contest in Nashville 94-69 on December 31, 2022.
