LITTLE ROCK, Ark. - The Little Rock Men's Basketball continues Ohio Valley Conference action on Thursday as the Trojans travel to SIUE. Tip-off is set for 7:30 p.m. Fans can listen live with Ray Tucker on 106.7 The Buz2 or watch the live broadcast of ESPN+.
Little Rock enters the contest 11-10 overall and 5-3 in the OVC after winning their third-straight contest against SEMO on Saturday 66-61. In that game,
KK Robinson and
Jamir Chaplin led the team in points with 13, while
Jaylen Crocker-Johnson led the team in rebounds with ten.
Robinson also led the team in assists with five and steals with four, while Chaplin also brought down seven boards.
Makhel Mitchell recorded season-highs of 12 points and seven rebounds, and
DeAntoni Gordon knocked down 11 points.
Overall for the Trojans, Robinson leads the team in points averaging 17.0 per game, while Chaplin leads the team in rebounds averaging 6.7 per game.
SIUE enters the match-up 12-9 overall and 5-3 in the conference after defeating Tennessee Tech 74-57. Overall for the Cougars, Shamar Wright leads the team in points averaging 14.9 per game, while Damarco Minor leads the team in rebounds averaging 8.1 per game.
Little Rock leads the all-time series 2-1 after defeating SIUE at home on January 4. The Trojans won 88-80. In that game, Gordon lead the team in points with 19, while Robinson recorded his first triple-double with 18 points, a team-high ten rebounds, and a team-high 12 assits.
The Trojans won the last contest at SIUE 79-74 on February 23, 2023, while the Cougars won the first-ever meeting at The Jack Stephens Center 84-81 on February 4, 2023.
