Little Rock freshman
Kathrine Vynne picked up her second straight OVC Golfer of the Week award on Thursday and third overall, capping off a week that saw her set one individual program record, tie another, and help the Trojans set a school team record during their final event of the fall season.
Â
Vynne established a new single-round record of 65 (-7) during the second round of the Diamante Intercollegiate, where she finished fourth overall in a field of 99 golfers and helped the Trojans to a tie for third. She also matched the 54-hole record of 10-under, set earlier this season by
Eleonore Aernouts. Her play in the event guided the Trojans to a team tournament record of 857, surpassing the previous team record by six strokes.
Â
Vynne currently leads the OVC in stroke average (71.0) and made 18 birdies and an eagle over 54 holes at Diamante Country Club. Little Rock also leads the conference in team stroke average at 291.5. She is also the OVC's Golfer of the Month for September, an award she is surely to capture again with her performance during October.
