Aaliyah Joshua Claims OVC Cross Country Freshman of the Year Award

LITTLE ROCK, AR. – Little Rock Cross Country is making a significant impact this season, highlighted by Aaliyah Joshua's impressive achievement as the first-ever Freshman of the Year since the Trojans joined the OVC. Her recognition not only showcases her talent but also marks a promising chapter for the program.

In her inaugural season with the Little Rock Cross Country program, Aaliyah Joshua has made a remarkable impact. She captured her first individual title at the Steve Guymon Invitational, which earned her the distinction of OVC Female Cross Country Runner of the Week. Joshua has consistently demonstrated leadership on and off the course, contributing to significant improvements within the women's team. Under the direction of Coach Brock Hime, now in his second season as the Associate Head Coach for Track and Field and Cross Country, the team is showing promising growth and potential for future success.

Aaliyah Joshua will be honored with the OVC Freshman of the Year award at the OVC Cross Country Championship taking place tomorrow in Martin, Tennessee.
