Wrestling Shows Strong Performance at Tiger Style Invitational with 5 Top-3 Finishes

Trojans post 114.5 points as a team for fourth place at Tiger Style Inviational

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Little Rock traveled to Kansas City, Missouri, for the 2024 Tiger Style Invitational hosted by Missouri. The Trojans posted five top-3 finishes, including a first-place finish by #5 Stephen Little

Stephen Little proved why he is ranked InterMat's #5 wrestler at 197 lbs, cruising past his opponents with a combined score of 27-7. Little picked up where he left off last year at this very tournament, where he also took first place. Brock DelSignore had a strong outing in his first tournament as a Trojan. DelSignore won by decision in his first two contests but fell to #11 Colton Hawks by just one point in a match that went down to the final buzzer. Matty Bianchi took third after a sudden-victory takedown over #31 James Conway of Missouri. Bianchi's only loss came against the eventual 157 champion, Ethen Miller of Maryland. Brendon Abdon finished the day in third place with a 5-1 record. Abdon's sole loss came against #12 Cameron Steed of Missouri, but not before opening his day with a 44-second pin over Maryland's Money. He ended the day with a 17-1 tech fall to take 3rd place. Tyler Brennan recorded two pins in his pursuit of 3rd place at 174 lbs. Brennan fell to #30 Brody Bauman of Purdue by a score of 1-0 but otherwise cruised past opponents.
