LITTLE ROCK, Ark. - The Little Rock Men's Basketball team returns home to host Ohio Valley Conference leader Morehead State Thursday at The Jack Stephens Center. Tip-off is set for 7 p.m. or approximately 30 minutes after the conclusion of the women's game. One fan will have an opportunity to win $4,000 at the men's game.
The Trojans enter the contest 14-11 overall and 8-4 in the OVC after defeating Western Illinois on the road Thursday. In that game,
KK Robinson led all scorers with 23 points, knocking down 19 in the second half, while
Jamir Chaplin recorded 13 points and a team high seven rebounds.
Overall for Little Rock, Robinson leads the team in points averaging 16.2 per game, while Chaplin leads the team in rebounds averaging 6.8 per game.
Chaplin is also close to a career milestone. He needs just ten points to reach 1,000 career points.
Morehead State enters the match-up 20-5 overall and 1-1 in the OVC after defeating Eastern Illinois 69-57 on Saturday. The Eagles only OVC loss was at SIUE on January 13. The team lost 61-48.
Overall for Morehead State, Riley Minix leads the team in points averaging 19.6 per game and in rebounds averaging 9.4 per game.
This will be the third meeting between the two teams with the series tied 1-1. The Eagles won the first-ever meeting on January 26, 2023 in Morehead, Ky. 76-72. The Trojans won the last match-up on February 9, 2023 at The Jack Stephens Center 72-68.
