LITTLE ROCK, Ark. - The Little Rock Men's Basketball team continues their Ohio Valley Conference home stand on Saturday as the Trojans host Southern Indiana. Tip-off is set for 3 p.m. or approximately thirty minutes after the conclusion of the women's game. One lucky fan will have an opportunity to win $2,000.
The Trojans enter the contest 15-11 and 9-4 in the OVC after defeating conference leader Morehead State 69-68 at The Jack Stephens Center.
In that game,
KK Robinson was the top Trojan scorer knocking down 21 points going 6-of-18 from the field, 3-of-7 from the arc, and 6-fo-6 from the free throw line. Robinson also led the team in rebounds with seven and assists with three.
Makhel Mitchell scored 12 points, brought down a team-high seven rebounds, and led the team in blocks with three, while
Jordan Jefferson scored 11 points in the win.
Southern Indiana enters the contest 7-19 overall and 4-9 in the OVC after losing 77-68 at UT Martin Thursday. Overall for the Screaming Eagles, Jeremiah Hernandez leads the team in points averaging 16.9 per game, while AJ Smith leads the team in rebounds averaging 9.1 per game.
This will be the fourth meeting between the two teams with USI leading the all-time series 2-1. Little Rock won the last match-up on January 18 in Evansville, Indiana 77-75. In that game, Robinson led the team in points with 20 and rebounds with 12 to record his third double-double of the season.
