Little Rock Men's Basketball Continues OVC Road Action at Lindenwood on Saturday

ST. CHARLES, Mo. - The Little Rock Men's Basketball continues Ohio Valley Conference action at Lindenwood on Saturday.  Tip-off is set for 3:30 p.m.  Fans can listen live to the broadcast on 106.7 The Buz2 with Ray Tucker or watch live on ESPN+.

The Trojans enter the contest 17-11 overall and 11-4 in conference action after extending their winning streak to six with a 83-61 win at Southeast Missouri and clinching a birth in the OVC Tournament.  Little Rock has won their past 9 out of 10 contests and is tied for the eighth longest winning streak in the country.

In the victory over the Redhawks, the Trojans had five players in double-figures, with two recording double-doubles for the second time this season.

Jamir Chaplin recorded his fourth double-double of the season with team highs of 19 points and 11 rebounds, while Makhel Mitchell recorded his second-straight double-double of the season with 17 points and ten rebounds.

KK Robinson contributed 15 points, six rebounds, and led the team in assists with five.  Jaylen Crocker-Johnson knocked down 13 points, and DeAntoni Gordon knocked down ten points.

Overall for the Trojans, Jamir Chaplin leads the team in points averaging 15.9 per game and in rebounds averaging 6.8 per game.

Lindenwood enters Saturday 8-20 overall and 2-13 in conference action after losing at home 106-82 to UT Martin.  Overall for the Lions, Keenon Cole leads the team in points averaging 18.3 per game and in rebounds averaging 6.3.

This will be the fourth meeting between the two teams with Lindenwood leading the all-time series 2-1.  The Trojans won the last match-up at home 80-66 on January 25.  In that game, Chaplin led the team in points with 22 and rebounds with seven.  Cole led all players with 25 points and ten rebounds.

Lindenwood won the first match-up between the two teams on January 4, 2023 in Little Rock.  The Lions won 67-63.  Lindenwood also won the last meeting in St. Charles 97-96 in overtime on February 25, 2023.
