LITTLE ROCK, Ark. - The Little Rock Men's Basketball hosts Tennessee State for a WHITE OUT on Thursday at 8 p.m. at The Jack Stephens Center. The game will be televised nationally on ESPNU. Fans are encouraged to wear white, and white shirts will be given out while supplies last. Fans can also use the code TROJANS online to purchase $5 general admission and $10 leather seats.
Little Rock sits tied for first in the Ohio Valley Conference with a record of 18-11 and 12-4 in conference action. The Trojans are currently on a seven game wining streak, tied for seventh in the nation.
The Trojans enter the contest after defeating Lindenwood 82-73 on the road Saturday. In that game,
Makhel Mitchell led all scorers with 21 points, two points shy of his career, and all rebounders with a career-high of 14.
KK Robinson contributed 19 points and led the team in assists with five, while
Jaylen Crocker-Johnson recorded 13 points and five boards.
Jamir Chaplin scored ten points, brought down eight rebounds, and recorded a team-high five assists.
Overall for Little Rock, Robinson leads the team in points averaging 16 per game, while Chaplin lead the team in rebounds averaging 6.9 per game.
Tennessee State enters the game 17-12 overall and 10-6 in OVC play after defeating SIUE at home on Saturday 76-71. Overall for the Tigers, Christian Brown leads the team in points averaging 13.1 per game, while Kinyon Hodges leads the team in rebounds averaging 5.5 per game.
This will be the seventh meeting between the two teams with the series tied 3-3. Tennessee State won the last match-up on December 30, 2023 in Nashville 90-82. In that game, Chaplin led all scorers with 29 points and all rebounders with nine boards.
The last victory for Little Rock over the Tigers was on January 21, 2023 at home. The Trojans won 89-77.
