LITTLE ROCK, Ark. - The Little Rock Men's Basketball returns home to continue Ohio Valley Conference action as the Trojans host UT Martin Tuesday. Tip-off is set for 7 p.m. Fans who attend the men's game have a chance to win $2,000.
The Trojans enter the contest 12-11 overall and 6-4 in the OVC after defeating Eastern Illinois on the road on Saturday 71-47. In that game,
Bradley Douglas and
Jamir Chaplin each led the team in points with 14.
Jaylen Crocker-Johnson recorded his second double-double of the year with 11 points and a team-high 13 rebounds, while
Makhel Mitchell knocked down 11 points and led the team in blocks with three.
Overall for the Trojans, Chaplin leads the team in points averaging 16.5 per game and in rebounds averaging 6.7 per game.
UT Martin enters the conference match-up 14-9 overall and 7-3 in the OVC after defeating SIUE on the road 90-79.
Overall for the Skyhawks, Jordan Sears leads the team in points averaging 20.2 per game, while Issa Muhammad leads the team in rebounds averaging 8.6 per game.
This will be the eighth meeting between the two teams with Little Rock leading the all-time series record 5-2. UT Martin has won the past two match-ups including the last on January 13 in Martin, Tenn. 77-72. The last win for the Trojans over the Skyhawks was on December 29, 2022 at home. Little Rock won 88-74.
The first meeting ever between the two programs was on Decmeber 16, 1992 in Little Rock. The Trojans won 88-58.
