LIVE RESULTS

The Trojans will open the meet on Friday with the men's and women's hammer and men's and women's javelin events.  All other field events and running events will take place on Saturday starting with the women's 5,000m at 10 a.m., and the men's discus starting at 10:30 a.m.

Little Rock enters the outdoor season after successful indoor competition.  The Trojan men won the program's first-ever indoor conference title while the women finished second at the Ohio Valley Conference Championships.  The men's team scored a program high 180 points in route to the championship, while the women recorded a total of 125.5 points for the meet.

Director of Track & Field J.P. Behnke was named the OVC Men's Indoor Coach of the Year, while Alexia Washington was named the OVC Female Field Athlete of the Year.

The men's team crowned seven conference champions including Matthew Fox who repeated as heptathlon champion with a meet record 5,040 points.  Other champions included the Distance Medley Team of Shane Fisher, Teylen Patterson, Devin Stevens, and Andrew Payton, Cogan DeRousselle who won the 60m hurdles, Frankie Grey who won both the 400m and 200m events, and Troy McKnight who won the 100m.  Payton also won the mile, repeating as champion.

The women's team crowned three champions as Landri Schreier won the 60, Aaliyah Mathis won the shot put, and Marcie Cudworth won the 3000m.

Brooklyn Marcee broke the school record she previously held in the pole vault with a vault of 3.85m (12-7.50).

As part of the Governor's I-40 Showdown, Little Rock and Central Arkansas will compete on the fields of play each year across 11 sports. The Bears and Trojans meet annually in baseball, men's and women's basketball, women's soccer, volleyball, men's and women's track and field, men's and women's cross country and men's and women's golf.

Each head-to-head competition will have a pre-determined point value for the winning team. The university that accumulates the most points during the athletic season will have its name permanently engraved on the Governor's Trophy – a traveling trophy that will reside on the reigning champion's campus the following year.
