EVANSVILLE, Indiana - The Little Rock Men's Basketball team will face Morehead State in the Ohio Valley Conference Championships Saturday at 7 p.m. on ESPN2. The winner will get the automatic qualifier into the NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament. Fans can listen to the live broadcast on 106.7 The Buz2 with Ray Tucker.
The Trojans (21-12) advanced to the championships after defeating Western Illinois 82-57 in the semi-finals. In that game,
DeAntoni Gordon and
KK Robinson led the team in points with 16.
Jordan Jefferson contributed 13 points, while he and Robinson led the team in rebounds with seven.
Jamir Chaplin knocked down 11 points, while
Makhel Mitchell had eight points, a team-high five assists, and a team-high three blocks.
Little Rock will face Morehead State (25-8) for the second time this season. The Eagles advanced to the finals after defeating SIUE in the quarterfinals 78-63 and UT Martin in the semi-finals 84-78.
The Trojans defeated Morehead State in their only meeting of the season 69-68 at The Jack Stephens Center. In that game, Robinson led the team in points with 21, while Mitchell contributed 12 points. Both Robinson and Mitchell led the team in rebounds with seven.
