TUNICA, Mississippi — Little Rock's lead remains intact – albeit a little smaller – with just one round remaining at the OVC Championships at Tunica National after a bumpy finish in Monday's second round. Little Rock started strong Monday but went 12-over on the back nine as a team, with 10 bogeys and three double bogeys.
OVC CHAMPIONSHIP LEADERBOARD
The Trojans carded a 305 (17-over) for the day, three strokes off their opening round, and had their nine-stroke lead after Sunday trimmed to five with second-place Morehead State finishing at 301 (13-over). Western Illinois remains in third place as the Top 3 went unchanged.
Anna Dawson and
Eleonore Aernouts still occupy the top spots on the individual leaderboard, with Dawson carding a 3-over 75 Monday and Aernouts shooting 4-over 76. Dawson leads the field at 3-over 147 (72-75) and Aernouts is second at 6-over 150 (74-76).
Fehild Graesel made the biggest move for Little Rock, leaping four spots into the Top 10 at eighth with a Monday round of 3-over 75, giving her a two-day total of 11-over 155 (80-75).
Katja Mueller sits tied for 14
th after a second round 79, putting her at 13-over 157 (78-79) for the tournament.
Agatha Alesson fell to 21
st after a round of 13-over 85.
Tee times for Wednesday's final round have been moved up 30 minutes with the threat of weather in the forecast. Little Rock will begin the third round with Alesson teeing off at 9:10 am and Dawson will tee off in the final group at 9:50 am.
