CONWAY, AR.– Little Rock's cross country teams had an impressive start to the 2024 season at the UCA Invite, with the women's team securing second place and the men's team achieving a historic first-place finish.
The women's team showcased a strong performance, with newcomer
Aaliyah Joshua leading the charge by finishing second overall with a time of 17:04.50.
Panagiota Lazarou followed closely, placing fifth with a time of 17:20.90, while
Kyla Lochtefeld secured seventh place with a time of 17:34.40.
Kennedie Rhein and
Marcie Cudworth rounded out the top ten, finishing ninth and tenth respectively. The team finished with a total of 33 points, solidifying their second-place spot.
Little Rock Women's Cross Country Results
On the men's side, the Trojans dominated with five athletes in the top ten, amassing a total of 21 points to outscore UCA, which had 39 points. Senior
Zach McPhee led the way, clinching first place with a time of 14:27.38.
Jordan Smith and
Nick Newby followed, securing second and third places respectively.

The Trojans continue the 2024 campaign on Friday, September 13th at the Steve Guymon Invitational hosted by Harding University.
