LITTLE ROCK, Ark. — For the third consecutive week, a Little Rock wrestler has been named Wrestler of the Week by the Pac-12 Conference. Returning All-American
Matty Bianchi is this week's recipient, announced Wednesday by the league.
Â
"Matty has had a great start to his season and I've been impressed with how he's looked moving up a weight class," head coach
Neil Erisman said. "I'm very excited for him this season."
Â
Bianchi is 3-0 this season in the 165-pound class, and is currently ranked No. 6 nationally by FloWrestling. The senior from Two Rivers, Wisconsin won both of his matches last weekend during the National Duals Invitational in Tulsa, Oklahoma.Â
Â
Bianchi defeated No. 9 Braeden Scoles of Illinois by decision, 4-1, and followed that with a 5-0 decision over Missouri's Joel Mylin.
Â
"I'm honored to be named Wrestler of the Week, and I know my coaches and teammates believe in me every time I step on the mat," Bianchi said. "I'm excited to stay consistent and glorify God the best way I know how – by giving my best effort."
Â
Bianchi is the third Trojan to receive the honor in as many weeks this season.
Jaivon Jones won the award last week, and
Stephen Little was the first recipient of the 2025-26 season two weeks ago.
