INDIANAPOLIS, IN. – Little Rock swimming closed out the House of Champions Invitational with a fourth-place team finish, totaling 1,673 points in a highly competitive field, during the third and final day of competition at the IU Natatorium.
"Pretty exciting finish to the meet. We collected another win in the 200 breast from sophomore Anna Nishizaki, and it came with a new school record. She really stepped up in a big way all weekend, and it was awesome to see the way she closed out that race. Overall, I'm really proud of our group for finding ways to go faster tonight on the final session of the meet. A lot of our freshman stepped up in a big way which is incredibly impressive to see such maturity from our young, talented athletes.
We capped things off with a great finish in the 400 free relay against some very strong competition. Overall, we're feeling really excited about where we are in the season and look forward to the opportunities ahead.
As always, Saturdays are for the Trojans." said head coach Nathan Townsend.
