NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Little Rock senior
Matty Bianchi continues to pile up victories, earning two more Sunday during the 2025 Journeyman Collegiate Duals in Nashville to run his season record to 7-0.

The No. 14 Trojans fell in duals to both No. 1 Ohio State (34-9) and No. 9 Cornell (31-10), but Bianchi emerged victorious against both schools. He outpointed Ohio State's E'Than Birden on the way to a 10-3 decision, then followed with a 5-1 decision win over Cornell's Benny Rogers.
"It was super fun competing in an awesome event! I'm proud of our team's energy … it felt great competing with the whole gang here on the trip," Bianchi said. "Excited to use this time to regroup and expand my wrestling and keep improving. So thankful for my coaches and teammates who have such great belief in me."
Little Rock got a win from
Carter McCallister in the 149 weight class and
Bronson Baxter at 184 against Ohio State. McCallister earned a tough 5-4 decision, and Baxter also earned a decision by a 4-2 count.
Against Cornell,
Gunner Holland (174) took a majority decision victory, 15-6, and
Michael Gasper closed out the day with a heavyweight victory, a 4-3 decision.
"Ups and downs, good and bad. Overall, it was a decent performance this weekend. Some young guys got some wins and grew a little," head coach
Neil Erisman said. "Looking for our young guys to continue to grow. Excited to be back after the new year and getting better.
Little Rock will return to the mat after the holidays when the Trojans compete at the Southern Scuffle, hosted by Tennessee-Chattanooga on Jan. 3-4.
