Little Rock Wrestling Collects Most Dual Wins in Division I Over Past Two Years

Team's program-high ranking at #15 unhindered by loaded dual meet schedule

MANHEIM, Pa. - The Little Rock wrestling team has finished the regular season at #15 in the nation, as announced by the National Wrestling Coaches Association (NWCA) Tuesday. The program-high ranking was bolstered by the fact that the Trojans also tallied the most dual meet wins among all Division I teams over the last two years, collecting 32 wins total.

"This is not something I even thought people tracked," admitted head coach Neil Erisman upon realizing that he led the Trojans to a nationally-recognized two-year stretch of success. "But, I'm thankful that people do because this is a true testament to what we have built."

Little Rock was tabbed #15 for the first time on February 11 officially, and stayed put for the remaining three weeks. The Trojans began the season at #20 and steadily rose following a successful showing at several top duals in December and January.

The team's 17 dual wins this year, as well as their .850 winning percentage for the 2024-25 season, are both program-highs. Last year, Little Rock collected 15 wins, tripling their dual win total from year-to-year and besting three top-25 ranked teams as well.

"This is an all-around team effort from the athletes, to coaches and all the support staff," Coach Erisman added. "Everyone has done a great job at putting these student-athletes in a great position to make it happen, and then the guys went out and made it happen. Grateful for what we have done."

Last week, the Trojans became back-to-back Pac-12 Conference Dual Meet champions, and next week will head to Corvallis, Oregon as they search to capture their first conference tournament title.
