Weather in Charleston forces change to series schedule at EIU

CHARLESTON, Ill. — Once again, the Little Rock Baseball program will have to adapt to a last-minute schedule change thanks to inclement weather. It was confirmed this afternoon that the Trojans' weekend series at Eastern Illinois will be affected due to weather in the Charleston area.

Instead of the normal Friday-Saturday-Sunday series format, the series has been modified to a Friday doubleheader beginning at 11 am – with the second game starting 30 minutes after the conclusion of the first – and the series finale now starting Saturday at 11 am.

Although its nothing out of the ordinary for baseball season, the Trojans have had a fair number of scheduled contests rescheduled due to rain in 2025. Most recently, Little Rock had a three-game conference series with Lindenwood reduced to just two games in early April after a rash of heavy rain and storms with high winds hit the capitol city.

All three games against Eastern Illinois are still expected to be streamed live on ESPN+.
