Little Rock rounded out the spring signing period with six more players, including one of the top Arkansas high school Class of 2025 prospects.
The Trojans inked Western Kentucky transfer Braxton Bayless, Penn State transfer Kachi Nzeh, Pratt (Kan.) Community College guard Khasen Robinson and Holmes (Miss.) Community College, forward Cameron Wallace throughout the spring. Benton High School star Terrion Burgess completed the class with his signing in June.
Burgess, who led the Panthers to the Class 5A state championship this spring, is ranked as the No. 2 high school player in Arkansas according to 247 Sports and is a Top 150 player in the nation.
"It is the first time we have had some central Arkansas kids that wanted to be here," Little Rock head coach
Darrell Walker said. "Cam Wallace wanted to be here and Khasen wanted to be here and Kellen definitely wanted to be here because he signed early. He could have probably played somewhere bigger. And you have Terrion Burgess and K.K. is coming back, so you've got a bunch of Arkansas kids coming. We haven't had that in a while."
Burgess, a 6-foot-9 wing, joins fellow Saline County stars and brothers K.K., Kellen and Khasen Robinson on the Trojans roster. Wallace is also a central Arkansas native starring at Little Rock Parkview High School. Former North Little Rock standout Tracy Steele, Jr. also joined the Trojans after playing at Xavier in New Orleans.
"Everything looks good on paper," Walker said. "People are excited, and they should be excited. There is a lot of talent on this team, but we need to develop the chemistry and get it to gel. We have still got some young guys on this team, and we have got to get them to gel."
K.K. Robinson, who averaged close to 15 points per game two years ago for Little Rock, missed all of last season with a knee injury. He is healthy and will return to lead the Trojans this season. His younger brother, Kellen, who signed with the Trojans in the fall, followed in his footsteps at Bryant High School and like his older brother led the Hornets to the state championship game. He orchestrated back-to-back state title appearances, and the Hornets captured their first title in school history this year. Kellen Robinson was ranked as the No. 3 high school prospect in Arkansas per 247 Sports.
Khasen Robinson signed with the Trojans after averaging double-figures at Pratt (Kan.) Community College.
Also, Little Rock signed Truman Claytor IV in November. Claytor averaged nearly 13 points and 4 rebounds for Gulf Coast (Fla.) State College last winter.
The eight newcomers join seven Little Rock returners led by All-Ohio Valley Conference First Team guard
Johnathan Lawson and Defensive Player of the Year
Tuongthach Gatkek along with the now-healthy
KK Robinson.
Also returning is
Christian Hughes, a redshirt sophomore, and sophomores
Joseph Thomas,
Travonne Jackson and
Caleb Pennyfeather. Jackson was lost for the season with a knee injury in January but will return.
The entire team has reported for summer workouts and the preparation for the 2025-26 season is underway.
"We will do some individual drills and most of the month of July we will be working on defensive drills as a team, and teach our principles as far as we defend the pick and roll. We can implement some things early so when the guys come back and start classes, they will have a foundation laid."
