LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – Little Rock baseball has finalized its 2026 recruiting class, adding 19 players as the Trojans aim for another NCAA Tournament run next summer.
The class includes 12 position players and seven pitchers, with one freshman, two sophomores, 12 juniors and four seniors or graduate students. Seven transfers come from Division I programs, including three from the SEC, two from the Big Ten and one from the Big 12.
"What a great job by Matt Parker, Charles Gravett and our staff of capitalizing on the momentum from our postseason run to use the brand of Little Rock and reach new players with high-level talent that are excited to come and compete for championships," head coach Chris Curry said. "We feel like we've addressed some needs from last year's team, especially on the mound with left-handed pitching, we had to replace some keys pieces at shortstop and center field, but with key pieces returning we felt like we had a good foundation to build on."
The Trojans entered the Ohio Valley Conference Tournament in May as the No. 8 seed and went 5-0 in Marion, Illinois, to win the title and secure an NCAA berth. In the Baton Rouge Regional, Little Rock went 3-2 and reached the championship game before falling to eventual national champion LSU. The Trojans were the only team to beat LSU in the postseason, earning a 10-4 win in the regional semifinal.
Curry said that performance on the national stage gave recruiting a boost.
"The message we kept hearing was how inspiring it was to watch our team compete on such a big stage, and how much new players wanted to be part of it," Curry said. "I think Trojan fans will be excited to see the 2026 version of Little Rock baseball."
