November and December will feature a true test of grit, with seven of the Trojans' first 10 games on the road. But Head Coach Darrell Walker sees the early grind as an opportunity.

"This is a challenging schedule for us and the first two weeks on the road should tighten our bond," Walker said. "I look at it like an NBA road trip. We will find out a lot about our team during that stretch of games."

Road highlights include marquee trips to Milwaukee, Big East power Marquette, and Ball State, followed by tests against Texas State, and Missouri Valley Conference foes Murray State and Southern Illinois. The stretch also features a December rivalry clash at Central Arkansas and a high-profile matchup at Big 12 contender West Virginia.

Little Rock enters the season with plenty of firepower. Returning stars include All-OVC guard Johnathan Lawsonand reigning OVC Defensive Player of the Year Tuongthach Gatkek, joined by a wave of talented newcomers: graduate guard Braxton Bayless (Western Kentucky), junior forward Kachi Nzeh (Penn State), and highly touted four-star recruit Terrion Burgess, who led Benton High School to last year's state title game.

"We are excited about our team," Walker said. "We have a lot of talent, and we've already seen them gel together this summer and fall. The road games will test us, but they'll prepare our team to compete for another OVC championship."
