LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – After taking care of Tennessee Tech on Thursday night, the Trojans are aiming for their third straight Ohio Valley Conference win when they host Tennessee State on Saturday. The game will tip off 30 minutes following the women's contest, which begins at 1 p.m., at the Jack Stephens Center.
Little Rock (5–9, 2–1 OVC) defeated Tennessee Tech 77–58 on Thursday at the Jack Stephens Center. Tennessee State (8–5, 2–1 OVC) is also coming off a road victory, knocking off the Golden Eagles 88–76 on Tuesday night.
The Trojans will honor former standout Rashad Jones-Jennings during the game as part of the season-long celebration of the 20th anniversary of the Jack Stephens Center. Jones-Jennings led the nation in rebounding during the 2006–07 season at 13.1 rebounds per game and holds the Jack Stephens Center single-game rebounding record with 30 boards against Arkansas–Pine Bluff on Dec. 13, 2005.

Truman Claytor IV had his biggest game as a Trojan in the win over TTU. The Akron, Ohio native notched season highs in points (13), minutes (29), field goals made (5), and field goals attempted (9).
• Redshirt senior forward
Johnathan Lawson scored 17 of his 20 points in the second half Thursday night. He also finished with six assists, five rebounds, three steals, and two blocks.
• Graduate forward
Tuongthach Gatkek just missed a double-double despite playing a reduced 29 minutes due to foul trouble. Gatkek scored 15 points and also totaled four assists, two blocks, and a steal.
• Little Rock and TSU are tied with four other teams for second place in the OVC.
SCOUTING THE TIGERS
• TSU has won three of its past four games, including a 63–60 victory over UNLV.
• The Tigers are 4–4 on the road this season.
• Tennessee State is second in the league in scoring per game (80.2).
