Trojans Face SEMO in Key OVC Road Test

Little Rock looks to continue strong conference play Thursday night

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. – A four-game road stand begins with a pair of strong teams. Little Rock (9-10, 6-2 OVC) plays at SEMO (10-10, 5-4) Thursday at 7:30 p.m. The Trojans then play first-place UT Martin on Saturday.

SEMO stunned the Skyhawks, 66-50, Tuesday night to snap a four-game skid. Little Rock has won seven of its past eight games and is in second place, one game behind UTM.

TROJAN TIDBITS
Cameron Wallace has four double-doubles this season and nearly recorded a fifth last week. After posting 14 points and 10 rebounds against Eastern Illinois, he followed with 21 points and eight rebounds in the win over Western Illinois. Wallace ranks second on the team in scoring (13.2 ppg) and leads the Trojans in rebounding (6.8 rpg).
• After playing just one minute in three consecutive games, Johnathan Lawson saw extended action last week, logging 36 minutes against Eastern Illinois and 37 against Western Illinois. He has played more than 30 minutes in all but two games this season.
Kachi Nzeh had a strong week, scoring 35 points in two wins. He also knocked down five of 10 three-pointers and grabbed eight rebounds in the victory over Western Illinois.

SCOUTING THE REDHAWKS
• Riding a four-game losing streak, SEMO jumped out to an early lead and took a 40-20 advantage into halftime against UT Martin on Tuesday night.
• Junior guard Luke Almodovar scored 22 points in 24 minutes against UTM. The St. Francis (Ind.) transfer hit six three-pointers and is averaging just over 14 points per game.
• Senior forward Braxton Stacker averages 12.2 ppg and scored 14 against the Skyhawks.
• Senior forward Brenden Terry leads the team in rebounding at 5.3 rpg and also averages 10.0 points per game.
• In the offseason, Little Rock Christian alum Landren Blocker transferred from Louisiana Tech. He has started 16 of 20 games this season and is averaging 5.5 ppg and 4.0 rpg.
