LITTLE ROCK, Ark. — Little Rock junior guard
Johnathan Lawson has been named Ohio Valley Conference Player of the Week for his historic and dominant all-around performances during the week of February 9–15, the league office announced Monday.
Lawson became just the third player in Little Rock program history to record a triple-double, delivering a milestone performance with 13 points, 14 rebounds, and 10 assists in a win at Western Illinois.
He followed with another strong performance, finishing with 12 points, seven rebounds, and four assists in 37 minutes, continuing to anchor Little Rock on both ends of the floor at Eastern Illinois.
For the week, Lawson totaled 25 points, 21 rebounds, and 14 assists, averaging 12.5 points, 10.5 rebounds, and 7.0 assists per game, while committing just one turnover per game. His efficiency and decision-making were instrumental in keeping the Trojans competitive, as he controlled the tempo and created opportunities for his teammates.

Darrell Walker said. "To record a triple-double is special, and it speaks to his unselfishness, his basketball IQ, and his determination to do whatever it takes to help his team win. He impacts the game in so many ways, and we're proud of what he accomplished."
Lawson's triple-double performance places him among an elite group in program history and reflects his continued growth as one of the Ohio Valley Conference's most versatile players.
"It's an honor, and I'm grateful for my teammates and coaches," Lawson said. "They put me in position to succeed, and my focus is always on doing whatever I can to help our team. The triple-double means a lot, but it's really about representing Little Rock and competing every night."
The honor marks Lawson's second OVC Player of the Week recognition this season and highlights his historic performance and outstanding all-around production.
