EVANSVILLE, IN. - Little Rock opens the 2026 Missouri Valley Conference Swimming and Diving Championships tomorrow, kicking off four days of postseason racing from February 25–28. The Trojans enter the meet riding confidence from their first winning dual meet season since 2016–2017 and will look to carry that momentum straight into a high-impact opening day.
"I'm really excited to see these ladies compete. It has been incredible watching them throughout the season and seeing all of their hard work and training come together as they perform at their very best here. We're looking forward to some incredible races and outstanding competition at MVC," said Head Coach Nathan Townsend.
Wednesday's schedule is stacked with fast relays, marquee individual races, and several Trojan swimmers positioned to make immediate noise, according to the championship psych sheet
The meet begins with the 200 freestyle relay, where Little Rock enters ranked fourth in the MVC and ready to strike early. The 500 freestyle follows with Olivia Elgin set to compete as a top-eight conference contender. In the 200 IM, Megan Stewart headlines the Trojan lineup, bringing strong A-final potential.
Sprint speed takes center stage in the 50 freestyle as Lena Nikolaeva enters the meet ranked third in the MVC, with Gabriella O'Neil also in the field. The night closes with the 400 medley relay, another key moment for Little Rock as the Trojans enter the event ranked fourth in the conference.
With proven momentum, elite sprint speed, and relay depth, Little Rock will look to make an early statement when the championships get underway Wednesday morning.
