Former Little Rock hurdler BreeÂ
Walker delivered another strong performance on the Olympic stage, earning an eighth-place finish in the monobob and placing 10th in the two-woman bobsleigh while representing Australia at the Winter Olympics.
Walker, a three-time letter winner for the Trojans, entered the Games ranked No. 2 in the monobob World Cup standings and was the only Australian competing in the monobob field.
In the monobob competition, Walker's fastest run came during her third heat, where she posted a time of 59.60 seconds. She finished with a four-run total of 3:59.49 to secure eighth place overall, finishing just two seconds behind the gold medal-winning time.
Walker also piloted Australia's two-woman bobsleigh alongside teammate Kiara Reddingius. The duo competed in four heats across two days at the Cortina Sliding Center in Cortina d'Ampezzo, with final standings determined by the combined time of all runs.
Walker and Reddingius recorded a total time of 3:50.82 to finish 10th overall, highlighted by their fastest run of 57.45 seconds in the opening heat. The result marked a significant improvement from their previous Olympic appearance, where the pair placed 16th in the event.
Walker's Olympic success adds to an accomplished career that began at Little Rock. During her time in the Maroon and Silver, she earned a bronze medal at the 2014 Sun Belt Indoor Track and Field Championships as part of the distance medley relay team. Walker teamed with Cheryl Nolan, Ashtin Boykin, and Emma Dahl to post a time of 11:59.12, the fourth-fastest mark in program history.
She also scored individually at the 2014 Sun Belt Outdoor Track and Field Championships, placing sixth in the 400-meter hurdles and seventh as part of the 4x400-meter relay.
