Hot Trojans Visit Streaking Lindenwood

Five-game surge meets eight-game run in key OVC showdown

ST. CHARLES, Mo. – Two of the Ohio Valley Conference's hottest teams collide this weekend as Little Rock takes its five-game winning streak on the road to face a surging Lindenwood squad that has won eight straight, including seven in league play.

The Trojans (25-17, 11-4 OVC) enter the series riding significant momentum after sweeping OVC heavyweight Eastern Illinois at Gary Hogan Field, then completing a two-game midweek sweep of UT Rio Grande Valley.

Lindenwood (22-18, 8-7 OVC) has climbed into fifth place behind its current streak, setting the stage for a pivotal weekend series at the Lou Brock Sports Complex.

Coach Speak
"We are going to need to swing [the bat]. [Lindenwood's park] can be tough to find runs in, so we are going to have to score in different ways," head coach Chris Curry said. "We need to work on our bunting and tighten it back up. It's going to be a battle on the road. We are at the top of the league and control our own destiny, so we don't have to scoreboard watch as much. We are going to be in a dogfight this weekend, so let's keep playing solid baseball."
