Isaac Evaniew thought his baseball dream had finally come true when he made the move across the country to join the program at University of Oregon.
After spending three seasons at Tacoma Community College working toward an opportunity at the Division I level, Evaniew earned a roster spot with the Ducks and arrived in Eugene believing he had reached the destination he had chased for years.
Instead, it turned out to be the start of a new journey.
Following one season at Oregon, Evaniew entered the transfer portal and found a new home at University of Arkansas at Little Rock. The decision has paid dividends for both Evaniew and the Trojans.
Now one of Little Rock's most reliable bullpen arms, Evaniew has emerged as a key contributor during the program's historic postseason run. Just as importantly, his upbeat personality and fun-loving attitude have made him one of the most popular players in the clubhouse, providing energy and leadership to a team that continues to make history.
