2006 (As a Junior): Made a tremendous impact in his first year at UALR, leading the Trojans in eight offensive categories: batting average (.360), at-bats (211), hits (76), doubles (21), total bases (118), slugging percentage (.559), on-base percentage (.452) and stolen bases (25); while tying for the team lead with three triples ... Ended the season ranked 25th nationally in doubles per game (0.4) and 46th in steals per game (0.47) ... Ranked second among all Trojan players with 47 runs scored and 28 walks ... His 21 doubles tied him for third in the Sun Belt rankings ... Batted a team-best .347 in Sun Belt contests, while leading the Trojans in hits (35), at-bats (101), doubles (11), total bases (57), slugging percentage (.564), on-base percentage (.416) and stolen bases (16) ... Drove in 32 runs on the year, with 19 of those RBI coming in conference games ... Tied for second place in the Sun Belt rankings with 11 doubles in conference action ... His 16 stolen bases in Sun Belt games trailed only UNO’s Michael Epping (21) ... Led the Trojans with 21 multi-hit games, including eight contests with three-or-more hits ... Had a season-high four hits on three occasions, with the last coming off a 4-for-4 effort (with three doubles) against Troy on May 12 ... Racked up a career-best four stolen bases against Troy on May 14 ... Drove in a season-high four runs against Creighton on Feb. 11 (one of nine multi-RBI games) ... Enjoyed a season-best 11-game hit streak from March 11-28 ... His 25 stolen bases placed him fifth on UALR’s all-time list for thefts in a season ... Started all 53 games he appeared in.

 

At Missouri State: Spent two seasons with the Bears, appearing in 74 games and drawing 48 starts ... As a freshman in 2004, Gotcher made 38 starts for the Bears (32 in right and six as the designated hitter) and played in 48 games .. Batted .291 over 151 at-bats with 32 RBI and 52 runs scored, helping the Bears to a 31-28 record (19-12 MVC) ... His 32 RBI ranked third on the team ... Racked up seven doubles, two triples and a home run for a .384 slugging percentage, while going 5-of-9 on stolen base attempts ... Saw his production drop in 2005, as he hit just .130 over 46 at-bats, while appearing in 26 games with 10 starts ... Batted .254 with a .350 slugging percentage over 197 at-bats during his two seasons at Missouri State.

 

High School: Enjoyed a standout career at Jenks High School, helping the Trojans to state championships in 2000 and 2002 ... A four-year starter, he hit .390 with five triples, six homers and 23 stolen bases in 23 games as a senior . . . As a junior, he helped the Trojans to the 6A state championship by leading the squad with a .430 batting average and 52 hits ... A three-time all-metro and all-conference pick.
