Biography

Abby Wilson was promoted to Assistant Director of Athletics for Academic Services and named Senior Woman Administrator in Aug. 2013. Wilson previously served as UALR’s At-Risk Academic Advisor since 2010, overseeing academic progress for at-risk student-athletes.

A native of Lincoln, Neb., Wilson was a member of the Nebraska-Omaha tennis team, where she won five individual conference titles and helped lead the Mavericks to two conference championships. The Mavericks advanced to NCAA regional competition all four years of her career and made it all the way to the NCAA Sweet Sixteen in 2005.

Wilson finished her career first on the school’s all-time list in winning percentage with a .651 mark. She also finished tied for first in career doubles (52), and second in singles wins (41) in the UNO record books. 

Wilson graduated in 2006 with a bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice with a double minor in Psychology and Sociology. She received her Master's of Science degree in Sports Management from UALR in December of 2007.

At Lincoln Southeast High School, Wilson was a state champion in doubles competition. Her team won the Class A State Championship in 2000.
