Biography

 

Brandy Sweeden Dixon was named Assistant Sports Information Director in July of 2005.  Her responsibilities are to handle the sports of women’s basketball, volleyball, cross country, and track and field.

Dixon, a Murfreesboro, Ark. native, graduated from Henderson State University in Arkadelphia, Ark. with her Masters of Science in Sports Administration in May of 2005.  During that time, she worked as a graduate assistant in the Sports Information office under Troy Mitchell.  Dixon worked various events including the 2005 and 2006 Division II Women’s Basketball Elite Eight and National Championship and various Gulf South Conference tournaments.

Dixon received her Bachelor of Arts in Mass Media degree from Henderson State University in December of 2002.

Dixon is a member of the College Sports Information Directors of America, the United States Basketball Writers Association, and the Women's Basketball Coaches Association.

Dixon is married to Dr. Thomas Dixon.  The couple resides in Benton, Ark.
