Biography

Brian Lyter
joined the UALR Department of Athletics in Sept. of 2012 after spending the previous three years in various positions with the Arkansas Travelers - a Double-A affiliate of the Los Angeles Angels. Lyter began his stint with the Travelers as a Stadium Operations Intern in March 2009 before being promoted to Director of Stadium Operations later that year. In that role, Lyter hired, managed and conducted payroll for all game-day operations employees, and was responsible for the training and supervision of the team's operations interns.

He received a second promotion in Oct. 2010, becoming an Account Executive in addition to managing all aspects of merchandise operations. In Jan. 2012, Lyter was named the team's Director of Food and Beverage, allowing him oversight and management of the team's concession stands and restaurant.

Additionally, Lyter was a member of UALR's game-day operations staff for men's and women's basketball and volleyball games for three seasons (2009-12). He assisted in setup, tear down and execution for all athletic events at the Jack Stephens Center, in addition to preparing and delivering food for all arena suites during basketball games.

Lyter graduated from West Virginia University in Dec. 2008 with a bachelor's degree in Sports Management. While at WVU, he served as an Event Management Intern for the Mountaineers' women's basketball team.
