Courtney Heyl was hired in July 2007 as an assistant athletic trainer at UALR. A graduate of Arkansas State University, Teeter recently obtained her master’s of education in athletic training from the University of Virginia. A certified member of the National Athletic Trainer’s Association, her duties at UALR include working with the women’s basketball, women’s soccer, and women’s tennis teams.

Heyl graduated from ASU in May of 2006 with a bachelor’s of science degree in athletic training. She went on to earn her master’s degree from Virginia in July of 2007, during which time she served as a graduate assistant at Hampden-Sydney College, working with the men’s soccer and baseball teams.

Heyl is also a certified instructor for the American Red Cross and a member of the Southwest Athletic Trainers’ Association and the Arkansas Athletic Trainers’ Association.

Heyl resides in Bryant with her husband Carl.  They have one daughter, Emily, born May 10, 2010.
