John Dippel joined the UALR Department of Athletics as Director of Ticketing in Aug. 2014. Dippel has nearly 20 years of experience working in athletics in various capacities, most recently serving as Assistant Box Office Manager and Group Sales Coordinator at Verizon Arena in North Little Rock from 1999-2014.

In his 15 years at Verizon Arena, Dippel hired, trained and supervised numerous box office employees and was responsible for all daily reconciliation for sales. He acted as a liaison between Verizon Arena and event promoters in addition to being involved in set-up, maintenance and financial settlement of events. Dippel also sold group tickets to schools, corporations and various other organizations.

Dippel served as Compliance Coordinator at Northwestern State during the 1998-99 year. He developed comprehensive plans on educating coaches and staff on NCAA rules while assisting in ticket office operations.

Dippel served as an intern in the ticket office at UMass during the 1997-98 year after spending the previous year as an intern at Henderson State. He handled game-day sales for football and basketball and initiated development of the Athletic Hall of Fame during his time in Arkadelphia.

After earning a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Northwestern State in 1994, Dippel went on to earn his master’s degree in sports administration from NSU in 1996.
