Rachel Schlachet joined UALR in July 2004 after two years as a graduate assistant at the University of Louisiana-Monroe, where she earned her master’s of science in kinesiology. While at ULM, Schlachet was the head football graduate assistant athletic trainer and served as head trainer for women’s basketball in 2002-03 and women’s tennis in 2003-04.

She earned her bachelor’s in kinesiology from Arizona State, where she was the lead student trainer for football and wrestling. Schlachet also worked as a student trainer at the Nike Desert Classic ? one of the premier college basketball tournaments in the nation ? and the Sunkist wrestling tournament. A native of Denver, Colo., Schlachet serves as the primary athletic trainer for soccer, women’s basketball and swimming and diving at UALR.
