Joel Allen is a former member of the Little Rock Men’s Cross Country / Track & Field Team. Originally from Youngsville, Louisiana, Joel graduated from UALR in Spring 2025 with a bachelor’s degree in Business Management.

Following his recent graduation, he returned to join the Trojans Staff in August 2025 as the Development Associate for Athletics and Cross Country / Track & Field Volunteer Assistant Coach. 
In his time as a Trojan, he claimed 3 Ohio Valley Conference Championships with his Track & Field teams (2024 Indoor, 2024 Outdoor, and 2025 Indoor) highlighted by his own 7th place scoring finish in the 2024 Outdoor 3000m Steeplechase Final.  A few of his personal best times include 9:27.44 (3000m Steeplechase), 4:00.73 (1500m), 14:59.8 (XC 3 Mile), and 25:57.4 (XC 8k).

Outside of his sport specific achievements, Joel was a part of Trojan SAAC all four years while earning the OVC Community Engagement award for his service throughout Little Rock twice (2023-24, 2024-25). He also worked two part-time jobs: (1) Mentoring Freshman Scholars in his same CLC Scholar program and (2) Salesman at the local Rock City Running shoe store.

Joel is excited to utilize his knowledge to give back and serve Trojan Athletics and the city of Little Rock.
