2011 Outdoor Track Season:  Recorded career-high in the 5,000-meter run at the San Francisco Distance Carnival placing eighth in 14:40.80 ranking him fourth in UALR career records…Recorded career-high in the 10,000-meter run at the Sun Belt Outdoor Championships placing sixth in 31:37.31 ranking him fourth in UALR career records…Recorded season-high in the 1,500-meter run placing 12th at the Memphis Tiger Invitational in 4:08.96…Also recorded finishes of seventh place in the 5,000 meters at the Beach Invitational in 14:57.54 and eighth place in the 5,000 meters at the SBC Championships in 15:07.46.

2011 Indoor Track Season:  Earned All-Sun Belt Conference honors and set career-high in the 5,000-meter run at the Sun Belt Indoor Championships placing third in 14:49.74 and ranking him third in UALR career records…Recorded career-high in the 3,000-meter run at the Tyson Invitational placing fifth in 8:27.74 and ranking him fourth in UALR career records…Also recorded finishes in the 3,000 meters at the Indoor Championship placing fifth in 8:35.92 and in the 5,000 meters at the Middle Tennessee Invitational placing second in 15:00.33.

2010 Cross Country Season:  Earned All-Sun Belt honors placing fifth at the 2010 Sun Belt Championships in 25:18.7 for the 8K and helping the Trojans to the championship title…Earned NCAA All-Region honors placing 21st at the NCAA South Central Region in 30:59.9 for the 10K and helping the Trojans to a seventh place finish…Set the new school record for the 8K at the Brooks Memphis Twilight placing fifth in 24:21.35 and earning Sun Belt Conference Runner of the Week honors…Recorded career-high in the 10K at the Chile Pepper Festival placing 42nd in 30:34.92 ranking him second in UALR career records…Earned Sun Belt Conference Runner of the Week honors after winning the 5K at the UALR Invitational in 15:13.41…Placed second at the Arkansas Tech Twilight four-mile in 20:05.17.

2009 Cross Country:  Helped men’s team be ranked as high as No. 7 in the region while also earning NCAA All-Region honors after placing 19th out of 134 runners at the NCAA South Central Region recording a time of 31:52.9 for the 10K and helping the team to tied for eighth place…Recorded career-high in the 8K at the Greater Louisville Classic placing 49th out of 334 runners in 25:10.23 ranking him eighth in UALR career records…Recorded career-high in the 10K at the Chile Pepper Festival placing 56 out of 334 runners in 31:33.60 ranking him 5th in UALR career records…Placed 61st at the Sun Belt Championships in the 8K with a time of 30:52.21 helping the men’s team finish third…Recorded season-high time of 19:49.83 for the four-mile at the Arkansas Tech Twilight placing second and helping team to third-straight first place finish…Placed ninth out of 207 runners at the Brooks Memphis Twilight four-mile in 20:02.59.

Cowley College:  Recorded personal bests of 14:55 in the 5K and 25:25 in the 8K at Cowley College…A six-time Coaches Association All-American, helped the Tigers to fourth at nationals in 2008 and fifth at nationals in 2007 in cross country.

High School:  Recorded personal bests of 4:24 in the 1,500-meter run, 2:29 in the 3,200-meter run, and 15:56 in the 5K at Jasper High School…A five-time state champion and nine-time all-state honoree, helped his team to three-time state cross country titles.

Personal:  Son of Gary Purvis and Chole Carr…Has one brother, Derek Purvis…Born October 11, 1988 in Harrison, Ark….Majoring in health and exercise science.
