Rosina Amenebede

Rosina Amenebede returns to Little Rock in her second stint as an assistant coach for the Trojans.  Amenebede was a member of the Trojan coaching staff from 2013-17, working with the Little Rock hurdles and jumps as well as assisting with the Trojan sprinters.

A sprinter for Middle Tennessee from 2011 to 2013, as well as a member of the Utah Valley University track team in 2009-10, Amenebede originally hails from Ghana. She has competed in the Commonwealth Games, World Championships, African Championships, All-Africa Games and the World Junior Championships all for Ghana. These events have taken her all over the world, including trips to Japan, Australia, India, Mozambique, Algeria, Kenya, Mauritius and Hungary.

As a member of the Middle Tennessee sprint team, Amenebede qualified for the NCAA Championship meet in the 4x100 as a junior while also qualifying for the regional meet in the 100 hurdles her sophomore and junior year.

At the conference level, Amenebede made the Sun Belt Academic Honor Roll from 2010-12, placed second in the 60 hurdles in 2012 and second in the 4x100 relay in 2011 and 2012.

She placed second in the 4x100 relay at the Commonwealth Games in India in 2010, won the gold at the All-Africa Games 4x100 in Algeria in 2007 and also took first in the Great West Conference 100 hurdles in 2010 during her one year at Utah Valley.

Amenebede earned her bachelor's degree in community and public health from Middle Tennessee in 2013. She then attained her master's degree in health and human performance and sport administration from Little Rock in 2016.
