At Holmes CC: Attended Holmes Community College as a freshman in 2013-14, averaging 13.0 points, 4.8 assists and 1.6 steals in 19 games … Scored in double figures 13 times on the season, including a season-high 25 points vs. Coahoma Community College … Posted eight multi-steal games on the year … Handed out five or more assists nine times on the year, including back-to-back games of 11 and 10 assists vs. Baton Rouge and Northeast Mississippi, respectively … Finished the season shooting 40.9 percent from the floor and 76.3 percent from the foul line.
 
At North Little Rock HS: Graduated from North Little Rock High School in 2013, where he averaged 16.2 points and 5.8 assists en route to being named First Team All-State as a senior … Led the Charging Wildcats to the 2013 Arkansas 7A State Championship as the team Wildcats compiled a 28-1 record and No. 25 national ranking … Totaled 17 points, five assists and two steals in North Little Rock’s 64-52 win over Fayetteville High School in the championship game … Was named the Most Valuable Player of the 2013 Arkansas High School Coaches Association All-Star Game after scoring a game-high 18 points … Watkins played his AAU basketball for the Arkansas Wings, which won an AAU National Championship following his junior season.
