Biography

2023-24(Junior): Qualified for the A final of the 200 backstroke, placing 5th and breaking the school record in a time of 2:00.48…. Qualified for the B finals of the 100 backstroke, placing 9th overall in a lifetime best time of 56.02…. Went on to break the 200 backstroke record for a second time at CSCAA in a time of 1:59.62, the first Trojan to swim sub 2 minutes in this event…. Swam a lifetime best in the 200 Im against North Texas and Vanderbilt in a time of 2:10.64….Named to MVC Scholar Athlete team.

2022-23 (Sophomore): Qualified for the B final of the 100 backstroke at the Missouri Valley Conference Championships, placing 14th with a time of 56.46.... Also raced in the 50 free and 200 back at the conference championships, recording a season-best time of 24.45 in the 200 IM.... Named to the MVC Scholar-Athlete Team.... Qualified for the B final of the 100 back at the Kansas Classic, taking 16th with a personal best time of 56.21, second in program history.... Posted a season-best time of 2:04.80 in the 200 backstroke at a tri-meet versus Henderson State and Drury.

2021-22 (Freshman): Backstroke leg of the school record-setting 200 medley relay…. Qualified for the B final of the 100 backstroke and C final of the 200 backstroke at the Missouri Valley Conference Championships…. Placed 10th overall in the 100 backstroke with a personal best time of 56.37 and 18th overall in the 200 backstroke with a season-best time of 2:04.64…. Notched a lifetime  best time of 24.71 in the 50 freestyle at the Kansas Classic.

Prior to Little Rock: Competed for the Southern Utah Swimming Association, qualifying for Winter Junior Nationals. Also swam for Desert Hills High School, where she was a school record holder, 4A state record holder, and the women’s State MVP in both 2019 and 2020.

Personal: Daughter of Amanda and Rick Romprey…. Plans to major in Web Design and Development with minors in information Technology and Graphic Arts.
