Before Little Rock: Ran track for three years at Hot Springs High School as a mid-distance and relay runner...Won the Class 5A State Championship in 2013 in the 4x400 relay while running the anchor leg...Placed second at the 2014 state championships in the same race...Finished second in the 400-meter dash at the Class 5A South West Conference championship...Was named All-Conference and All-State in his junior and senior years.
