George Lee was named as Little Rock’s Director of Athletics on November 1, 2019, being promoted from Senior Associate Athletic Director for Business Operations. Lee has spent 23 years with Trojan Athletics, overseeing the day-to-day business and financial operations of the 15-program department since 1996.
 
During that span, he has viewed first hand over three dozen championship programs and numerous all-conference performances, including over a dozen team and individual NCAA tournament appearances.
 
Prior to joining the Little Rock Athletic Department, Lee worked in the private sector for both the United Parcel Service and Chamber Door Industries.
 
A native of Hot Springs, Lee graduated from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock in 1987. He married his wife Joni, UA Little Rock’s Vice Chancellor for University Affairs, in 1983 and the couple have two children, Patrick and Paige.
