Matt Parker joins Little Rock after spending the last two seasons at Texas A&M - Corpus Christi as the assistant coach/recruiting coordinator. Prior to his time at Texas A&M - Corpus Christi, Parker sat in the head coach's seat at Eastern Oklahoma State for four years amassing a 467-152 record. No stranger to winning, Parker won two NJCAA Region II Tournament Championships and two Regular Season Championships in 2021 and 2022. With a focus on student-athlete development and success, one player was selected in the MLB draft, nineteen went on to play at the division one level, three earned NJCAA All-American honors, and twenty-two received All-Region. The success culminated to Parker being named NJCAA Coach of the Year in 2021 and 2022. 

Prior to Eastern Oklahoma, Parker served as the head baseball coach and assistant athletic director at Oklahoma Wesleyan for seven years where he won four regular season conference championships, three conference tournament championships and two NAIA World Series appearances (2014 & 2017). His success on the field led to being named the conference Coach of the Year in 2012, 2014, 2017, and 2018, with two ABCA/Diamond Sports Company Region Coach of the Year honors in 2014 and 2017. Oklahoma Wesleyan notched a 325-113 record. Parker oversaw 68 All-Conference Performers with 19 winning Conference Gold Gloves. He coached both an NCCAA National Player of the Year and NCCAA National Pitcher of the Year along with having one player named a Rawlings National Gold Glove Winner. 

Parker got his start as an assistant coach at California Baptist University for three years, helping them to an NAIA World Series appearance in 2010. In this position, he assisted the Lancers in winning two Golden State Athletic Conference Championships in 2010 and 2011, coaching eight All-Americans and five MLB Draft selections.
 
Parker graduated Cum Laude with a bachelor's in business administration from Lyon College and obtained his master's at Henderson State University in sports administration, graduating Summa Cum Laude in May 2007.
 
Parker is married to his wife Lindsey, who are parents to twins Charleigh and Cortland.
