Natalie Hawkins joined the Little Rock Athletic department in July of 2025. In addition to directing Academics and & Student-Athlete Support Services, she is also the Sport Administrator for Trojans women’s basketball and volleyball.
Hawkins has worked in student-athlete academic support services since 2010.
Before coming to Little Rock, the Ironton, Mo., native was at Iowa State for nearly 10 years. In that time, she served as the Associate Director for ISU Academics Athletics Services and supervised a team of three athletic academic coordinators and an associate. She also managed the academic support for the Cyclones’ nationally ranked men’s basketball team as well as the soccer teams and earlier in her tenure worked with the wrestling and softball programs.
Before moving to Ames, Hawkins was a Student Success Manager in the Lobo Center for Student-Athlete Success at the University of New Mexico from 2013-15. She managed the academic support for the UNM men’s basketball and softball programs and assisted with women’s basketball.
The 2006 Ole Miss graduate began her academic support career at SEMO where she also earned a Master’s Degree. From 2010-12, she served as an Athletics Academics Services and Compliance Coordinator in the Redhawks Success Center. She created the Students Owning Academic Responsibility (SOAR) mentoring program which assigned freshmen and transfer students with academic coaches and as well as meeting with at-risk students on a weekly basis to develop effective academic plans.
Hawkins and her husband, Michael, have twin children – Rex and Ruthie.
