Chris Curry has announced outfielder
Ryan Scott, infielder
Kyle Kirk, infielder
Hayden Martin and pitcher
Jarrid Garcia as the captains for the 2016 roster.
Â
"We think the players nailed it on the head when they chose Ryan, Kyle, Hayden and Jarrid for our team captains this year," Curry said. "I think they'll do a great job in showing our guys how to work and how to handle adversity."
Â
This year's captains, each a senior, will also have the task of leading 28 new players into their first seasons as Division I players.
Â
"They've been through the league, the ups and downs and the battles, and they have already done a great job with helping 28 new players learn what it takes to work daily and consistently like a Division I player has to," Curry added. "I feel very fortunate that these young men are on our team, and I know they'll represent us well as captains."
Â
Little Rock will begin the 2016 slate at home against Indiana State on Feb. 19.
