What made you want to attend UALR?
Â
I really came here for the baseball. I liked the coaches on my visit, and everything they said on my visit was something I wanted in a baseball coach. I felt like they would make me a better man, not just a better baseball player.
Â
What's your favorite thing to do in Little Rock?
Â
I'm not from Little Rock, so I like to go try all of the restaurants out. I'm a growing boy, I like to eat!
Â
What's the best part about being a Trojan?
Â
The best part about being a Trojan is that we're a little school that no one has heard of. To me when we go out and beat schools that we're not expected to beat it's very fulfilling.
Â
What's something that most people don't know about you?
Â
I'm colorblind!
Â
Who is the athlete you most admire?
Â
I always liked Derek Jeter when I was a kid. He wasn't the most athletic or talented, but he worked really hard. His working really hard made him stand out as a Hall of Fame baseball player.
Â
What has been your favorite moment of playing at UALR?
Â
My favorite moment was going to the conference tournament last year even though it didn't turn out the way we wanted it to. It was a good experience, and I'm looking forward to doing it again.
Â
What's the best advice you've received?
Â
The best advice I've received is to always work hard, because you don't know who's watching. You also never know where you can elevate your skills unless you put in everything that you have.
Â
Who was your childhood hero?
Â
My childhood hero is my dad. He has always provided for our family, he helps me out whenever I need it and he gives me great advice.
Â
What advice would you give to children just getting started in athletics?
Â
My advice would be the best advice that I received which is to work hard at everything you do.
Â
What's the most interesting thing you've learned recently?
Â
The most interesting I've learned recently is probably something in organic chemistry, but I'm not going to bore people with that!
Â
What are some of the community service projects you've been involved with since coming to Little Rock?
Â
We help out with Race for the Cure, and I always enjoy that. We go read to the kids at Franklin Elementary school, but we're involved with a lot of different community service projects year-round.
Â
What's your favorite home-cooked meal?
Â
Roast, mashed potatoes and green beans. It's hard to beat!
Â
What's the best reason people should attend your team's games?
Â
I think we're going to be a good team this year. We're going to compete and make a good show at every game.Â
