Ivanka Davidova knocked down nine kills and a team high of six total blocks with one solo and five block assists.
Megan Naborowski led the team in digs with 15.
The first game was evenly matched with UALR recording 14 kills and a .150 hitting percentage, while FIU recorded 15 kills and a .128 hitting percentage.
Florida International knocked down five consecutive points at the end of the match to give them match point.
Two kills by Amila Baracovic kept the Trojans alive, but FIU would know down a final kill to take game one.

The Golden Panthers took an early lead and sustained it completing the sweep.
