Trojans Win Five Game Match Against Iowa

ARLINGTON, Texas—
With five athletes recording double-digit kills, Arkansas-Little Rock's volleyball team won an exciting five game match against Iowa (25-30, 30-27, 30-32, 30-24, 15-12) at the University of Texas at Arlington Invitational Saturday.  The Trojans knocked down a season high 81 kills.

Amila Baracovic contributed a team and career high 18 kills, while Ivanka Davidova recorded a season high 17 kills.

Ana Carolina Buccini recorded her fourth double-double of the season with 10 kills and a team high 19 digs.

UALR took the early lead in the first game, but Iowa tied the score six times before taking control of the points.  The Hawkeyes rattled off four final points to take the game.

In the second game, the Trojans hit .220 with 20 kills taking the game on a final kill by Baracovic.

The third game remained close with the lead changing hands several times.  After Baracovic tied the game at 30, UALR committed two attack errors allowing Iowa to take the win.

The Trojans hit a game high .462 in the fourth game and recorded 25 kills in the last two games to take the match win.

Arkansas-Little continues tournament action today at 7 p.m. against host school Texas-Arlington.
